Inexperienced surgeons

and what, if surgeons stitch the bowel to the abdominal wall…

We get all the most difficult cases. any other surgeon would even consider to give a try. Here is an another example what can happen, if you have surgery with a surgeon by laparotomy. An 84 years old lady could no eat solid food since her operation 11 years ago. Extensive adhesions to the abdominal wall and one can recognize what the surgeon did in her last surgery.
Please notice all the stitches that were sutured into the bowel while closing the abdomen in the previous surgery…
It is a nonresorbable material used and not only the small bowel accidentally sewn to the abdominal wall, but also induces a massive foreign body reaction with adhesions…

we could take all the old stitches out:

and finished the surgery without bowel lesion (very difficult !!!)
and covered all the surgical field with SprayGel…
to find NO ADHESIONS in the second look…
She could eat meat for the first time after 11 years …
and enjoy ice cream, which she could not have the last 11 years….
